ArtistDas Bassin der wasserspeienden Vögel ist ein historischer Brunnen im Schlossgarten Schwetzingen, der eine antike Fabel darstellt. Im Becken steht ein Uhu mit einem Fasan, umgeben von speienden Blechvögeln und lebendigen Vögeln in Volieren. Die Fabel: Zeigt eine Geschichte nach Äsop, in der andere Vögel wütend Wasser auf den Uhu spucken, weil er einen Fasan getötet hat.Figuren: In der Mitte sitzt der Uhu aus Metall mit einem Fasan im Fang. Oben am Gitter sitzen heute noch 20 von ehemals über 30 geformten Blechvögeln, die Wasser spucken. Umgebung: Das Becken ist von vier Vogelvolieren umgeben, in denen echte Vögel zwitschern.
