The "Glass Ceiling" refers to the invisible (but very tangible!) barrier that prevents women and underrepresented groups from advancing to higher positions within organizations - particularly in leadership roles. These barriers are rooted in discrimination and biases based e.g. on gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation (or on any other aspect of identity). Despite efforts to promote equality and diversity, the glass ceiling persists. Getting rid of this barrier involves fighting deep-seated biases, implementing inclusive policies, and fostering environments in which diversity, equality and respect are seen as values - rather than only power, efficiency and money
