Prompt

**Chapter 18 – The Dragon Who Owned Nothing Except Everything Part 3 – The Book That Remembered the Road** Use the uploaded reference images strictly for **Morksik (CR-M1), Borstel (CR-M2), Hopsy (CR-M4), and Dravarius (CR-M14)**. Preserve their established appearance, species, clothing and relative proportions. Scene: the forgotten road has suddenly opened **inside Dravarius’s enormous mountain library**. Between two towering bookcases, the stone wall and floor have split apart, revealing a mysterious **narrow glowing blue road** leading into swirling silver-blue mist. Cold blue light pours from the opening and contrasts dramatically with the warm amber lamps of the library. **Dravarius (CR-M14)** stands nearest the opening, enormous compared with everyone else. Match his reference closely: huge **wingless monitor-lizard-like dragon**, four-legged reptilian body, long heavy tail, earthy olive-brown and charcoal scales, amber eyes, backward-curving horns, round spectacles and tiny black scholar’s cap. **Absolutely NO WINGS.** His expression should show reluctant disbelief rather than fear. Near Dravarius, **Borstel** holds the small faded-blue leather **road-book** open in both paws. The pages emit a gentle blue magical light. Borstel MUST clearly remain the established hedgehog from CR-M2. His patched satchel hangs visibly at his side. **Hopsy (CR-M4)** stands nearby watching the opening road. He MUST clearly be a **kangaroo, not rabbit-like**, with his enormous naturally attached leather pouch clearly visible and containing assorted travelling objects. The small blue World Tree feather floats just above his pouch, glowing softly. **Morksik (CR-M1)** stands at the front looking toward the newly opened road. Match the new reference closely: distinctive large ears, pink nose, grey fur, long limbs, brown adventurer clothing and backpack. Do not redesign his species or appearance. Also include **Percival P. Waddlesworth**, the small dignified penguin gentleman: black tailcoat, white shirt, bow tie, top hat and monocle, carrying his closed umbrella. He calmly studies the impossible road. **Scale is essential:** Dravarius must appear vastly larger than Morksik, Borstel, Hopsy and Percival, while all four travellers remain clearly recognizable. Composition should emphasize **the group facing the newly opened road**, not another map-table scene. Show fallen books and a few displaced scrolls near the cracked stone to suggest that the road has forced its way back into the mountain. The immense library continues upward into darkness with shelves, galleries and ladders. Mood: mysterious, adventurous and slightly ominous, the exact moment when Dravarius realizes the forgotten road has returned and that he may have to travel with them. Realistic painterly fantasy storybook illustration, highly detailed natural textures, cinematic depth, warm soft volumetric library light mixed with magical cold blue light from the road, consistent with *The Morks of Mistmoor*. **4:3 landscape composition. No duplicate characters.** Bottom-right: small white full-body unicorn watermark with the text **“AI by Unicorngraphics”**.

The small voice came again from inside the satchel. "Borstel?" Hopsy took one careful step backwards. "I preferred the knocking." Borstel stared at the patched flap. "That's my voice." "Not necessarily," Dravarius said. "Many unpleasant things learn familiar voices." Morksik moved beside Borstel. "Your older self gave it to you for a reason." The satchel whispered again. "Please open me." Borstel reached toward the buckle, but Dravarius lowered one claw. "Wait." He bent close and sniffed. "Paper." Hopsy blinked. "You can smell paper?" "I am a dragon with a library." He sniffed again, and his expression changed. "Old paper. Blue ink. Impossible." He lifted his claw. "Open it." Borstel raised the flap. Blue light spilled across the table. Inside lay only a small book bound in faded blue leather with a silver clasp. Borstel lifted it out. Upon the cover were four words: THE ROAD NOT TAKEN. Dravarius did not smile. "Give it to me." Borstel held it tighter. "Knowledge belongs to everyone." The dragon stared at him. At last Dravarius lowered his claw. "I am beginning to regret teaching you anything." Borstel placed the book on the table but kept one paw upon it. "What is it?" "A road-book," Dravarius said. "They were used by travellers who crossed places that refused to remain in the same world." Morksik looked at the glowing map. "Like the station?" "Older than the station. A road-book does not record where you have been. It records where you could have gone." Hopsy frowned. "That sounds confusing." "It was. That is why sensible people stopped making them." "And the less sensible?" Percival asked. "Became cartographers." Dravarius touched the silver clasp. It sprang open. The pages turned by themselves until a drawing appeared in blue ink: four small figures walking away from a mountain. Above them flew a dragon. Hopsy counted. "That's us." Percival looked upward. "And apparently our host." Dravarius's wings twitched. "Absolutely not." New words appeared beneath the drawing. THE ROAD REQUIRES FIVE. Dravarius stared at them. "No." Another sentence formed. FOUR TRAVELLERS. ONE KEEPER. "Still no." The book turned a page. THE KEEPER HAS REFUSED BEFORE. Borstel smiled. "It seems to know you." Dravarius snapped the book shut. "I spent three centuries preventing that road from returning. I have no intention of walking upon it." Morksik looked around the immense library. "Why were you trying to erase it?" For a long moment Dravarius said nothing. Then he walked to a shelf hidden behind a stone pillar. Unlike the others, it held only one book. Its cover was black and burned around the edges.
