On the first day of Kindergarten, so bright and new,
A little one ventured, with heart all askew.
With backpack and lunchbox, and shoes neatly tied,
They stepped into a world, so vast and wide.
Excitement and nerves, all bundled in one,
As they waved goodbye to mom or dad, when all was done.
New friends to meet, and games to play,
Learning their ABCs, day by day.
The teacher greeted with a warm hello,
Making them feel safe, with a gentle glow.
Colors and shapes, and numbers to learn,
As the little one's curiosity did burn.
They painted and sang, and read stories aloud,
Joined in playground fun, with a joyful crowd.
Made towers of blocks, and built with clay,
The first day of Kindergarten, a grand display.
And as the day came to an end,
The little one felt a newfound friend.
With a smile on their face, they headed back home,
Eager for tomorrow, wherever they may roam.
For the first day of Kindergarten, a memory so dear,
A stepping stone to a future, full of cheer.
A world of discovery, so vast and bright,
The start of a journey, a beacon of light.
