Artist"Engine" meant "clever invention": From the Latin ingenium, it used to describe everything from catapults ("siege engines") to search engines.
A large, intricate, wooden catapult or ballista with a sturdy timber frame, featuring a central horizontal beam supported by two triangular A-frames on a grassy field. Two large, dark grey or black, cylindrical winches or torsion engines with ribbed designs are mounted on the base, connected by a central metal axle. A wooden wheel with spokes is visible on the left A-frame, along with ropes or cables extending downwards. On the right, a small metal ring hangs from a chain attached to the horizontal beam. The catapult is situated on a neatly manicured green lawn, with a dense forested area of green trees in the background under natural daylight.
