Fratercula arctica - the Atlantic Puffin. Native to the Atlantic Ocean the common Puffin breeds in a range including Russia, Iceland, Ireland, United KIngdom, Norway, Greenland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Faroe Islands, as far south as Maine in the west, and France in the east. A long-lived bird, Puffins spend most of their life at sea feeding on small fish and crabs. Visits land to breed, it is a sociable bird, usually breeding in large colonies. Conservation status is listed as vulnerable.
