ArtistThe fairyland found underground is largely indistinguishable from the land left behind on the surface. There are pastures, fields and orchards, where crops grow, sheep graze and fruit and flowers grow in abundance. There are birds in the air and woods full of game. The land may be quite level, an open plain without hills but threaded by rivers running between lakes.
