ArtistFull screen, top-lit, sharp-focus, macro-view large watercolor of a three halved, ripe kiwano fruits lying on an oddly shaped artpiece blue glass plate. The plate of kiwanos sits on an antique, dark, wooden serving tray along with a stack of blue glass desert plates, colorful linen napkins, and ornate dessert spoons. Behind the serving tray, the kitchen wall is orange-green ebru-patterned and is hastily painted in blurry, splashy, wet-on-wet watercolor. The culinary arrangement is deftly, lovingly and painstakingly rendered in diaphanous watercolor with exquisite detail. Above all the kiwano fruits are extremely detailed, with the details partly are emphasized with a touch of pen-and-ink. The aquarelle is painted all the way to the edges of the heavy, handmade rag paper. Prize-winning, museum quality biology aquarelle illustration in the style of Simonetta Occhipinti Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Jakob Demus, Hildegard Könighofer and Margareta Pertl as well as Siobhan Larkin.
Vibrant still life of sliced kiwano (horned melon) on a decorative tray beside elegant dishware and a metallic jar.
