I beg you, do not let me slip away,
And in the fleeting breath of a moment,
Do not abandon my world to oblivion,
Nor let my tender gaze fade into nothingness.

Thus the Muse whispered softly to me,
And awakened my dormant soul.
While her face melts away in the shadows,
She leaves me in a world turned upside down.
