I still could not get exactly what I wanted from this prompt but I'm settling for this one.

King Shumiel Dan and the princess ate dinner together that night alone and in mostly silence until they had finished eating.
Peressa seemed shy the whole time but ventured to ask a question at last.
"Have you any musicians in the court, your Majesty?"
Shumiel Dan purked up and smiled. "Yes, there are two. Would you like me to request a concert?"
"Oh, that would be very nice," replied Peressa enthusiastically. "I have not heard a melody in ever so long, for my mother did not like music in the castle."
"Very well, then," said Shumiel Dan. "I shall have Tirell tell the musicians. Now, if you'll excuse me for a moment, I wish to go to my room for a moment."
Peressa was led off by a servant to the parlor where they were to meet and Shumiel Dan proceeded to his room to retrieve something.
