ArtistWhimsical and unsettling children's book illustration of a middle-aged gnome looking extremely angry. Yellow pointed hat, spiky white beard, thin limbs, patched clothes. A spiky squirrel, standing beside him with his paws up. Background with a sketched mushroom and a huge radiant spiky afraid looking sun.
A highly detailed ink drawing in the style of Edward Gorey, a whimsical character study on torn parchment featuring various elements. In the center, a gnome with white hair, beard, and mustache stands with an angry expression, mouth open in a shout, fists clenched, wearing a ragged brown patched tunic and a pointed yellow hat with patches, one boot visible with a pointed curling toe. To the top left of the gnome, a large, intricate drawing of a mushroom with a spotted cap and delicate gills. Above and to the right of the gnome, a weeping sun character with a distressed expression, wide, teary eyes, and sharp, spiky rays emanating from its face, with small tear-like droplets falling around it. To the right of the gnome, a frightened squirrel with large, wide eyes, appearing to cower, its fur bristly. A small sign hangs in the bottom left corner, reading "TWIGGLES" at the top and below it, "Today is not a good day for nonsense." The background is a stark white to light beige, with delicate line details of grass and small fungi around the gnome's feet, all against a textured, torn parchment-like border.
