ArtistA supernatural force of destruction spawned from disillusionment and disbelief. The result of human apathy, cynicism, and the denial of childish dreams. The negation of imagination, hopes, and wishes. A metaphor of adulthood that lost its ways. The dangers of excessive pragmatism. A force of absolute oblivion erasing things and people from existence, leaving no trace whatsoever as if they never were there to begin with. Global manifestation of a tremendous, chaotic storm, covering the sky with dark clouds, winds and lightning. Incarnations of the worst aspects of imagination. A destructive presence wrecking everything to leave a dark void on its wake. An inconceivable, formless, featureless, colorless negation of existence, impossible to describe, surrounded by an otherworldly mist. An abstract oxymoron that cannot and should not exist, for it does not and yet it is.
…there is no language for such abysms of shrieking and immemorial lunacy, such eldritch contradictions of all matter, force, and cosmic order. A mountain walked or stumbled.
If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings; but it was the general outline of the whole which made it most shockingly frightful." - H.P. Lovecraft - The Call of Cthulhu
