More about Balaam's Blessing - Numbers Chapter 22 Poem

A king afraid, a prophet sought,
To curse God's people, as he thought.
Balaam summoned, offered gold,
A tempting offer, a story old.
But God's command, a warning true,
"Do not curse, but bless anew."
Balaam went, with heart deceived,
An angel's sword, his eyes perceived.
His donkey spoke, a wondrous sight,
To turn him back, from evil's blight.
Balaam spoke, as God's word led,
Blessings pronounced, as he was bidden.
Numbers Chapter 22, a story rare,
Of God's protection, His watchful care.
Balaam's blessing, turned to praise,
God's sovereign hand, in all our days.
