In Deuteronomy, a solemn vow,
A covenant sealed, here and now.
Chapter twenty-seven, a sacred rite,
To follow God with all our might.
On Mount Ebal, and Mount Gerizim's peak,
The tribes of Israel did seek,
To proclaim aloud with one accord,
The blessings and curses of the Lord.
The law was written on stones so bare,
To serve as a constant reminder, rare,
Of God's commandments, pure and true,
For His people to obey and pursue.
A covenant made, a pledge so strong,
To worship God, and nothing wrong.
To heed His voice and walk His way,
In Deut, Chapter Twenty-Seven's display.
So let us cherish the covenant made,
With God's commandments, never fade.
And in our hearts, let them be inscribed,
