More about Awaiting a murder...

The title does have a bit of a double meaning. Crows are predators and scavengers, which means that they will eat practically anything. Historically as scavengers, they are often associated with battlefields, cemeteries, and dead bodies. In some superstition they are associated with omens of death, and are thought to circle above sites where people or animals are expected to die.

The term "murder of crows" is one of many whimsical collective nouns originating in the 15th century. Other fun examples of “group” names include: an ostentation of peacocks, a parliament of owls, a knot frogs, and a skulk of foxes.

A Jackdaw (used in the prompt) is a smaller crow. They are two toned with dark crown, wings, and tail, but ligher colored plumage everywhere else. I became fascinated with them and their name when I traveled in Russia. The AI obviously did not distinguish them from their first cousins, at least not in using these artists.
