More about The Deluge: Genesis Chapter 7 Poem

The waters rose, the floodgates broke,
As judgment fell, a solemn stroke,
Noah and his family, in the ark's embrace,
Found refuge from God's wrathful face.
God shut the door, as they embarked,
The ark afloat, as Noah harked,
The rain poured down, the floods arose,
A deluge vast, that none could oppose.
For forty days and nights, it rained,
The ark a shelter, where hope remained,
With animals and birds, a precious pair,
God's creation, under Noah's care.
The waters covered, the highest peak,
As all on earth, submerged and weak,
But Noah and his family, safe inside,
With faith and trust, in God did abide.
For five long months, the ark did sail,
Through storm and tempest, they did prevail,
Until the waters began to abate,
And God remembered, their faithful state.
The ark found rest, on Ararat's peak,
Noah sent out birds, the land to seek,
A dove returned, with olive leaf,
A sign of hope, in midst of grief.
Then God spoke to Noah, a covenant made,
A promise of grace, that would not fade,
No more would He, destroy with flood,
A pledge of mercy, from a loving God.
In Genesis, this tale is told,
Of God's judgment, and faith so bold,
Of Noah's trust, and God's great plan,
To save His people, according to His span.
So let us learn, from Noah's story,
To trust in God, in all His glory,
To seek His refuge, in times of distress,
And find in Him, our eternal rest.
