An illustrated scene from The Hobbit with three large, rock-skinned trolls covered in moss and small mushrooms, sitting around a campfire at night, roasting a whole bird on a spit. One troll points while talking to another. A hobbit wearing a green vest and brown trousers crouches stealthily in the foreground, approaching a pile of burlap sacks that contain human-like figures, with their feet visible at the openings. The background features autumn trees with orange leaves, mountains, and a dark blue night sky with stars, suggesting a forest setting with a river or lake in the distance.
