Moses climbed the mount divine,
To seek the Lord in sacred shrine,
With tablets in his outstretched hand,
He met the One who rules the land.
The Lord descended in a cloud,
His voice like thunder, strong and loud,
Proclaiming His majestic name,
In awe, Moses fell, his heart aflame.
"I am the Lord, compassionate and kind,
Slow to anger, gracious in my mind,
Abounding in love and faithfulness,
Forgiving sins, removing distress."
Moses bowed and worshiped deep,
As God renewed His covenant to keep,
Writing commandments once again,
Inscribed by God's almighty pen.
Radiant with His glory bright,
Moses descended from the height,
His face aglow with heavenly grace,
A testament of God's embrace.
Exodus 34, a tale of grace,
Of God's mercy in a holy place,
A covenant renewed, a promise true,
A reminder of His love for me and you.
