Location & Overview:
Situated within an isolated alpine valley along the Kootenay mountain range in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, this facility serves as a primary botanical research and bio-exclusion sector within a self-contained, post-Collapse infrastructure grid. Secretly planned, funded, and constructed over the decade preceding a total global economic and digital collapse, the sprawling post-Collapse community known as the Mutual Assistance Zone has been organized and engineered to operate completely independent of external utilities, municipal supply lines, or traditional power grids. This location is only one such facility in the MAZ.
Architecture & Functional Purpose:
The complex is anchored by a massive central dome cluster anchored to a high-altitude geothermal exchange and communications spire. The surrounding lowland fields are dedicated to intensive, open-air soil remediation and specialized cover-crop cultivation. The central spired tower functions as both a thermal exhaust for subterranean facilities below and a high-gain radio relay linking this isolated valley node to peripheral security outposts across the region.
