A nocturnal landscape painting of a female shepherd and sheep on a hill. A silhouetted slim and slender long haired young female shepherd in a long and tattered dress, holding a tall staff stands near the top left ridge of a sloping field. The field is covered in dark grass. To the right of the shepherd, a small herd of white sheep moves down the hill. In the upper left corner, a soft edged, glowing yellow moon shines in a deep blue sky. Dark, moody tones of navy blue and black dominate the scene, contrasted by the bright yellow moon and light white highlights on the sheep.
Moon over dark hills
White sheep follow one shadow
Night knows where they go
