I have more books than I have time,
more stories than my days can hold.
Some wait quietly beside my bed,
some have been waiting since I was young.
I may never read them all,
and somehow, that is all right.
I like knowing there are still places
I haven't been.
And sometimes,
I open a brand-new book
just to breathe in its pages,
before putting it gently on the shelf.
