In Deuteronomy Chapter Seventeen, God's wisdom shines with guidance keen. A lesson on justice, fair and true, For His people to follow and pursue. No idol worship shall they crave, Nor follow false gods that may enslave. A single witness shall not condemn, Two or more, required for truth's stem. A judge appointed, impartial and just, From among the people, in God they trust. To heed the verdict, without delay, And from it, not a single word to sway. If a king shall rise to lead the land, God's commands he must understand. Not to multiply wealth or wives, Or turn his heart from where it thrives. But to keep God's law, day and night, And walk in righteousness, in His sight. So wisdom's light shall guide the way, In Deuteronomy Seventeen, every day.
In Deuteronomy Chapter Seventeen,
God's law of justice, righteous and keen.
A call to purity in every way,
To follow His commands without delay.
Idolatry, a deadly sin,
God's people warned, "Do not give in."
No foreign gods, no idols raised,
In God's command, they must be erased.
And those who rise to judge the land,
Must not be swayed by bribes or hand.
Impartial justice, they must uphold,
With righteousness and truth, so bold.
If a case is hard and can't be found,
To the priests and judges, it is bound.
Their judgment final, none can change,
In God's wisdom, it will arrange.
So let us walk in justice true,
In Deuteronomy Seventeen, a timely cue.
Obeying God's commands, His holy way,
And living in righteousness every day.
