Here in Australia as I write this we are hours away from ex-tropical cyclone Alfred making landfall. Whilst it is still a very dangerous time we are waking up to news that Alfred was downgraded from Category 2, to 1, now to a "Tropical Low".

Whatever occurs today, it could have been so much worse.
