When they refused to shift from their neutral stance, the quick thinking Archmage Crizahl teleported the tower nearby and conjured the illusion of a glorious battle in its original location - They found themselves besieged by the Inquisitor Lazarus, a holy fanatic armed with powerful artefacts from the first age. The conjured battle lasted several weeks, giving plenty of time for word to travel. Once satisfied that enough time had passed, Crizahl swore his order to secrecy under threat of expulsion, then collectively they conjured the most fantastical explosion seen on Axalar. To this day it is believed that the tower and its order were wiped out from the blast, defeated by the inquisitor. But the tower remains, quietly overlooking the illusionary ruins from the fake war. The strongest of cloaking spells even hiding it from its fellow mages.
