Wanda went swimming and forgot she had a wallet full of fivers in her jeans, and a purse full of pennies and twopences. Luckily they make fivers out of plastic these days. She got a very funny look when she handed a soggy fiver to the local fish-and-chip stall though. On topic: I did this at Trafalgar Square once, and got a quizzical look in a shop -- in those days fivers were made of paper, and everybody swam round the fountain on a hot Saturday afternoon. There were no riots, and no Police to stop our fun, and no mobile phones to be ruined if you were pushed in. Unfortunately there was no Internet either, and everyone used slow modems over tatty phone lines.
