Feliz Navidad #19
Down from the skies in his red sombrero,
Came Santa Claus, the festive vaquero.
With a poncho bright and boots so sleek,
He shouted, “¡Feliz Navidad! I’ve tamales to sneak!”
His sleigh was a truck, a vintage delight,
Painted with murals, a colorful sight.
The reindeer were swapped for six jolly burros,
Who pranced to the tune of mariachi choros.
“On Pancho! On Paco! On Churro and Queso!
On Nacho! On Salsa! Let’s make this place glow!”
Through cactus and desert, o’er rooftops they’d dart,
Delivering cheer with a chili-fueled heart.
He carried piñatas and stockings of spice,
Churros for kids, for abuelas, fried rice.
A bottle of tequila for Tío Miguel,
And cookies con cajeta that rang like a bell.
As dawn approached, his job was done,
He wiped his brow beneath the sun.
“Another good year,” he said with pride,
Then vanished, shouting, ”¡Feliz Navidad!”
