A monumental, abstract hyperrealistic sculpture made of white Carrara marble. A man is carving himself out of the stone. The upper part of his body is perfectly finished, while the lower part is still a rough block. In his completed hands, he holds a hammer and chisel, ready to strike the stone and free his legs. At the base lie shards and fragments of marble. The idea of the sculpture is "self-creation as an endless, paradoxical act." A masterpiece with dramatic lighting (or striking lighting).
