From the murky depths of the swamp he rose,
A creature born of nature, where life flows,
With skin of green and eyes aglow,
The Swamp Thing emerged, to fight the foe.
With roots for feet and vines for arms,
He defends the swamp from all that harms,
A guardian of the wetlands, a force of might,
The Swamp Thing, a creature of the night.
Though misunderstood, and feared by some,
He fights for the swamp, and all that's come,
To protect the land, and all that's living,
The Swamp Thing, a hero, always giving.
So when you hear the rustling in the trees,
And feel the presence of the swamp's breeze,
Know that the Swamp Thing is always near,
To protect the wetlands, without fear.
