A father's love, a tangled tale,
In Genesis, a twist unveiled,
Isaac, blind and weak in sight,
Bestowed his blessing in the night.
But his wife, Rebekah, had a plan,
To favor Jacob, her younger man,
She dressed him up in Esau's clothes,
To steal the blessing, no one knows.
To Isaac, Jacob came with guile,
Claiming to be Esau, with a smile,
"Come close, my son, let me feel your hand,
And give my blessing, as I had planned."
Isaac was fooled, he blessed the wrong,
He gave his blessing to Jacob, so strong,
The stolen birthright, the blessing grand,
Passed to Jacob, as Rebekah planned.
Esau, deceived, was filled with rage,
He vowed revenge, in a fit of rage,
But Jacob fled, fearing for his life,
His deception caused a bitter strife.
A father's love, betrayed and fooled,
A family torn, by lies so cruel,
Genesis Chapter 27, a tale of deceit,
A father's blessing, a bitter sweet.
