The Cozy Bird Watcher
Shadow the cat, in a scarf so bright,
Looked like a model—a true winter delight.
The flowers were bold, the fringe just right,
She purred in style, a fashionable sight.
But out in the yard, perched high on a wire,
Were birds that chirped with a song to inspire.
Shadow squinted, her hunter’s gaze keen,
“I could catch them all, like a stalking machine.”
Yet the scarf was snug, and the snow piled deep,
And Shadow preferred her warm, cozy keep.
“Chasing birds sounds fun, but let’s not pretend—
I’ll slip on the ice and look silly, my friend.”
So she flopped by the fire, scarf wrapped like a hug,
Dreaming of birds while she sipped from her mug.
For chasing in winter’s not Shadow’s domain—
She’d rather look chic and stay out of the rain!
