Inspired byA traditional ink and watercolour wildlife illustration of a critically endangered Giant Ibis standing in full-body side profile at a shallow muddy trapaeng waterhole in Cambodian dry deciduous forest, its elegant long downward-curved bill and exceptionally long legs drawn with natural anatomy and a restrained, quiet posture. Fine expressive ink linework defines feather groups, bill structure, legs, tree bark, grasses and exposed roots, with translucent washes in charcoal grey, warm umber, muted olive and ochre over soft earth tones, delicate watercolour blooms and controlled pigment diffusion. Twisted trees and golden grassland surround the waterhole, with subtle insects and tiny wetland details. Balanced negative space and elegant asymmetry give the scene poetic solitude, a visual symbol of a species on the edge of extinction. Traditional handmade paper texture, visible ink character, imperfect watercolour edges and expressive brush variation, refined observational drawing in the spirit of an old natural-history conservation plate turned emotional fine art. In the lower corner, small swooping cursive black letters read "RY".
A watercolor and ink painting depicting an Australian white ibis standing by a pond. The ibis is in the center of the image, facing left, with its long, black, curved bill, black head and neck, white body, and black wing tips and tail feathers. Its legs are long and grey, and its feet are clawed. It stands on the muddy edge of a shallow body of water that reflects the surrounding landscape. The background features sparse trees, tall grass, and a soft-hued sky. The color palette consists of earthy tones, with muted greens, browns, and beiges, accented by the stark black and white of the ibis.
