ArtistChapter 17 – Part 2 – The Hedgehog Who Took the Road Home CR-M1 – Morksik CR-M2 Borstel CR-M4 – Hopsy CR-M12 – Percival P. Waddlesworth Create a cinematic realistic painterly fantasy storybook illustration, 4:3 landscape format. Use the uploaded character reference images strictly. Morksik, Borstel, Hopsy and Percival MUST preserve their exact established species, clothing, facial appearance and relative body proportions. Borstel MUST clearly remain the established hedgehog. Hopsy MUST clearly remain the established kangaroo with his enormous naturally attached leather pouch. Scene: the mysterious railway station surrounded by dark blue mist and hundreds of wooden signposts beneath warm golden lamps. Borstel stands in the foreground facing an OLDER VERSION OF HIMSELF who has just emerged from the mist. The older Borstel must unmistakably be the same hedgehog, but visibly older and travel-worn: slightly greyer spines, thinner tired face, small scar crossing one eyebrow, dusty worn brown travelling clothes, patched leather satchel over one shoulder, and a crooked wooden walking stick. Keep both Borstels at the same natural body scale; the older Borstel must NOT be larger or taller simply because he is older. Morksik and Hopsy stand slightly behind Borstel watching in astonishment. Hopsy's enormous leather pouch must be clearly visible and naturally attached to his body. Percival stands nearby holding his brass RETURN token. Farther behind them, partly surrounded by mist, the second Percival may be visible with his top hat and closed umbrella. A wooden sign points into the mist toward THE ROAD HOME, but keep written signage subtle and secondary. Focus on the emotional confrontation between young Borstel and his older self. Magical golden light, deep blue mist, cinematic depth, realistic painterly fantasy storybook atmosphere. Do not create any additional duplicate characters. Small white full-body unicorn watermark with the text “AI by Unicorngraphics” in the bottom-right corner.

Chapter 17 – The Station Between Two Journeys Part 2 – The Hedgehog Who Took the Road Home
The footsteps continued somewhere beyond the sign marked THE ROAD HOME. They were slow and uneven, sometimes fading beneath the deep turning of the machinery below the station, then returning a little closer. Nobody moved toward them. Percival still held the silver-glowing RETURN token while his double's CONTINUE token shone warmly against his waistcoat. "You said you received yours here," Morksik said. The second Percival nodded. "I believe so." "You believe so?" Borstel repeated. "This station has an unfortunate effect upon certainty." Percival adjusted his bow tie. "At last, something we agree upon." The second Percival ignored him and looked toward the narrow road. "I remember standing exactly where you are standing now. I remember the signs turning. I remember that road appearing." "Were we with you?" Hopsy asked. The penguin hesitated. "Yes." Morksik felt a chill despite the warm golden lamps. "All three of us?" "I think so." "You think so again," Borstel muttered. The second Percival lowered his voice. "Memories behave strangely here. The farther back I try to look, the less certain they become. I remember leaving this station, but I cannot remember arriving. I remember travelling with companions, but their faces disappear whenever I try to see them clearly." The footsteps came closer. Hopsy's compass remained fixed upon the mist. "And where did the road take you?" The second Percival looked at Morksik. "Mistmoor." Morksik's ears lifted. Borstel stared at him. "You've been there?" "Yes." "When?" asked Hopsy. The penguin's expression became troubled. "That is the difficulty. I don't know whether it has happened yet." The station fell silent except for the approaching footsteps. Morksik looked toward the mist. Home had appeared through the train window. Now a road carrying the same promise waited before them. Yet something about it felt wrong. The sign did not seem welcoming. It seemed patient. "What happened when you took it?" he asked. The second Percival opened his beak to answer, but the footsteps stopped. A shape stood between two distant signs. Small. Round. Familiar. Borstel leaned forward. "Morksik..." The figure began walking again. Silver dust covered a travel-worn brown tunic. Tiny spines caught the golden lamplight. A leather satchel hung from one shoulder, patched in several places, and a crooked walking stick tapped against the platform with every second step. The stranger emerged fully from the blue mist. Borstel made a tiny sound. The newcomer was a hedgehog. More than that, he was Borstel. His spines were slightly greyer, his face thinner and tired, and a small scar crossed one eyebrow. But there could be no mistake.
