One day Jesus got into a boat with his twelve disciples and said to them, “Let us cross to the other side of the sea.” They set out. As they were sailing, he fell asleep. Suddenly a storm came up, and the boat was filling with water, so much so that it was about to sink. They went to him and woke him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” He got up and rebuked the waves, and they calmed down and there was a calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” They were terrified and amazed, saying to one another, “Who is this, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”
