The original image is of fields alongside the Mercier Orchard's sales barn in Blue Ridge, Tennessee. Mercier is a 300-acre orchard started in 1943 which produces a variety of pick-your-own seasonal fruits. Their sales barn is full of such treats as apple cider donuts and hand pies with fruit filling. Hand pies (as they are called in the US) are also known as pasties in Britain. (Pasties were favored by Cornish miners long ago, because they could heat them in their lunch bucket over a candle.)
