I remember when we met, you painted my world bright,
You were every shade of wonder, you were warmth, you were light,
Now we stand beneath the stars, as they dim and fade away,
Our love’s a work of art that time just couldn’t save,

In every touch, there was a spark, a flash of something rare ,
Now our dreams hang in the dark, shadows in the air,
But even as we part, I see the beauty in your eyes ,
Like a sunset holding onto that last bit of light,

If we could freeze this moment, hold the warmth and the light,
I’d keep you in my arms, ‘til dawn chases away the night,
But even as the world moves on, our love is still alive,
In the colors of goodbye.
