Specimen #2 was recovered early last week in a crash site near Baltimore, an event predetermined by the program.
A recon team extracted a large piece of the meteorite to bring back to headquarters while the rest was quarantined.
Extensive tests are being conducted upon the smaller rock, but nothing seems elementally or geologically out of the ordinary.
However, despite the lack of chemical reason, shining purple crystals have been rapidly growing on the surface of both the original rock and the detached specimen.
Because of its violet color, the meteorite has been labeled as the “Blacklight Meteorite.”
Magnetic testing is currently underway…
