I always come up here the night before a jump. I don't remember when it became a thing, but I wouldn't dream of going interstellar without this time to check in with myself, to sit with my feelings and just be. Jumps are funny things - the physical "you" that goes into the wormhole is not the same "you" that comes out on the other side of the galaxy. When I think of how many times my body has been smashed into a quantum oblivion and squirted across the stars...And yet, here I am. Still me, still this dreaming stardust.
