Prompt

July 18, 64 AD - the city of Rome is on fire, we see Emperor Nero looking from a high balcony looking down onto the burning city with delight, Nero contemplates the burning disaster that he himself ignited, in front of him it is an infernal inferno of houses and monuments and buildings going into flame, Emperor Nero with roman tunic and laurel crown, and on his face illuminated by the glowing red light of the fire, we see pleasure and cynicism and malevolence and madness and an insatiable thirst for power...

More about Nero Claudius Caesar (July 18, AD 64)

Although Nero most likely did not order to set fire to Rom (then a city of about one million), he may well have (madly) enjoyed it, as the image suggests. And he certainly took later advantage of it to rebuild big pieces of the city to his taste
