This is another variation of a scene in the story, “A Mousehole Cat,” by the illustrator Nicola Bayley. It was fun trying to get this right, but this is so similar to the original, it is a perfect example of AI having the capacity to “steal” style. Usually, my AI art mixes up style and form enough that the resulting artwork feels like “mine” to me.

Since I have no plans to commercially publish any of these, I consider them to be an “homage” to Nicola Bayley…imitation being the most sincere form of flattery and all that.
