ArtistA humanoid figure with a stylised, crystalline body that is fractured, partially transparent and refracts light, settles comfortably in a fantasised, dreamlike landscape with semblances of being within a kaleidoscope of shattered sights. The surroundings consist of a surreal collage mimicking patterns found in dreams: broken mirrors which reflect multiple, deformed selves; timepieces with liquefying faces, their numerals and pointers twisted, appearing as if melted; and vague humanoid silhouettes lurking at the outer edges, their existence felt but not visible. The ambience resonates an uncanny tranquility, as though reality has been split open, showcasing the ragged, fractured characteristics of memory and perception post trauma. Drawing from the influences of surrealists respected widely before and during the 19th century, this chilling view encourages observers to think about the elaborate, sometimes painful, healing process, where light and strength can shine through cracks.
An intricate, surrealistic, medium shot of a glowing translucent human body made entirely of shattered glass pieces, sitting on a broken ground with a melted clock behind it. The body of the human is composed of numerous small, mosaic-like shards of iridescent glass that reflect light, creating a sparkling, prismatic effect with hints of gold, green, and blue. The human is seated in profile, looking to the left, with one leg bent up towards the chest and the other stretched out. Behind the human, a large, ornate clock is melting, with gooey liquid dripping down its face. The clock's face is cracked, revealing a reflection of a face inside. The background is filled with floating, ethereal spheres and numerous blank, sculptural human heads in various sizes, gazing blankly into the distance. The overall atmosphere is dreamlike, mysterious, and contemplative, illuminated by warm, ethereal light that casts soft glows and highlights across the scene.
