Imagine a large hilly landscape. It is easier to walk along on level ground than climb up and down the hilly parts. Similarly, it is easier to communicate when we have the right words than when we are struggling to map our concepts to lumpy words which we have to mould to fit our thoughts (or usually let the languages control our thought patterns!) Reality is indeed a simulation, running on a very powerful computer -- the human brain. Imagine how much easier, quicker, and less buggy it would be, if we could ALL write computer programs using a standard set of concepts (sometimes called "structured programming" and "modular programming"). This is one of the motivations behind the new programming language and operating system which I call ::SHE+ILA::, one of the goals being to decrease the massive sluggishness of everyday program development, yet retain the flexibility of tailoring to individual user requirements. Windoze, for example, gets more and more inconsistent and incompatible with each major release, because it idolises and worships the "industry". Linux has a reputation for being a "geek's playground", while MAC (despite its graphic interface) was for a long while quite elitist, and a runner-up to the cancelled LISA project. With ::SHE+ILA::, you can even build your own central processor (CPU) out of readliy-available TTL chips if you want to, rather than become a slave to Intel and Microsoft and other members of the "industry". Bring the FUN back into computing! Don't be a slave to externals :)
