Arcane Origins: Her power arises from her family's bloodline. Ril is related to some powerful creature, inherited a blessing disguised as a curse.

Reaction: Her powers are believed to be tied to an ancient line of mad kings that supposedly ended in a bloody revolt over a century ago.

Supernatural Mark: A red splotch appears on Ril's neck once a day, then vanishes after an hour.

Became a sorcerer because: Her immediate family never spoke of her ancestors, and when she asked, they would change the subject. It wasn't until she started displaying strange talents that the full truth of their heritage came out.
