The Bite is known as the most dangerous part of the trans-hemisphere route. Sharp rocks litter the passage just below the surface and give no warning when they decide to sink you. Only experienced Navigators will attempt this passage as there is only one safe path through the maze of cliffs and fog and no one has yet been able to place markers to save amateurs.
