Let's get this out of the way right off: No one is sure what the floors are made of, but they've supported the villa and all occupants for over a hundred years without so much as flexing.
While there is no shortage of places from which to jump into the water, there are only two ways to get back up; the cool but mercifully short path through the cave behind the villa, or the beach on the far shore of the cove. Either way be prepared to swim for a while.
