I used to catch jellyfish by accident on the beaches of Dunkirk as a child visiting my grandmother in the summers.
My brothers and i would used these nets that looked like glorified mops or brooms with nets at the tip of them. We would simply rake the floors of the wavy beach seashorelines. Afterwards, go home and cook the small translucent shrimps and then my grandmother would mash them up into butter, and we would use that butter as spread onto our baguettes.
Nostalgia has a familiar taste, like a funny song ringin in all our senses.
The jelly fish were a detail in something much more beautiful you see. And i am only one pair of eyes, one heart, one memory.
