Ophelia came home from a delightful walk in the rain, her clothes absolutely drenched through, and climbed straight into the bath in her beautiful velvet dress and high-heeled shoes. "I need to shrink it a bit, to make it more clingy and fun to swim in", she said. After swirling round in the bath for a while, she went out again to rinse it under the waterfall in the woods, and dived into the river for a delightful swim. The dress had by now shrunk so much that Ophelia struggled to get it off when she got home. The shoes had come apart, so Ophelia climbed back in the bath and filled the shoes with water, pouring it all over her head. She lay back under the water and rolled over and over, holding her breath, easing the beautiful red velvet dress up and over her head. Just as she was about to run out of breath, the dress lifted off with a squishy sound. She hung it up over the bath to dry. "All ready for tomorrow's dance", said Ophelia. "Must buy some new shoes though".
