ArtistFull screen, sharp-focus, macro-view watercolor of a bunch of healthy, dark-green curly parsley in a cut lead crystal glass three-quarters full of water. Behind the glass, we see a wooden cutting board with an upright stainless steel chopping cradle, several unpeeled, whole red onions and an unpeeled, dark-green, nubby cucumber. The culinary still life is lit from above and stands in front of a dark-gray, structured kitchen wall. The background is rendered in blurry, wet-on-wet watercolor and is hastily painted whereas the glass with the parsley, the onions and the chopping board with the chopping cradle are deftly and painstakingly rendered in diaphanous watercolor with exquisite detail. Prize-winning biology illustration in a style reminiscent of Simonetta Occhipinti, Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Jakob Demus, Hildegard Könighofer and Margareta Pertl as well as Siobhan Larkin. Museum-quality aquarelle sketch on heavy handmade rag paper.
A still-life image with a bundle of fresh parsley, sliced red onions, a whole cucumber, and a knife on a wooden cutting board. Bonus weird creative object in the background.
