A most unusual swirl unfolds, a kaleidoscope of timelines folding into one another.

Another place reveals itself, otherworldly, scarred by decay and the slow certainty of irreversible change.

Before the Pilgrim, a strange incarnation coalesces into being, drawn from fine, glowing sand, stardust given intent.

Grains rise, bind, and breathe, shaping a form both alien and familiar.

Pilgrim:“Who, or what, are you?”

The Entity, its voice melodic, charismatic, resonant beyond sound:

“I am shaped into a form you might understand, one you might even trust. My name is of no consequence. I am a manifestation of the Sands of Time. Eternal. All-knowing. Omnipresent.”

Pilgrim:“Why are you here?”

Entity:“Time Pilgrim, you require guidance if you are ever to find the Eternal City.
But first, I must know. Is your heart unburdened? Is your soul unbroken?
Are you truly devoted to the uncertain maelstrom of time?
Answer me now.”

Pilgrim:
“Time wears many faces. None gentle. None merciful. Each devoted only to preserving continuity through chaos.”

The Entity inclines its head, sand shifting like a quiet tide.

A pause stretches, heavy with centuries.

Entity:“Walk the mountainous path before you. Take the Gate of Stars to Astral. In that city, all shall be revealed. Remember this above all: Time is always with you.”

The form begins to unravel, grains lifting and fading back into the cosmic current.

The Sands of Time disperse, leaving only silence and resolve.

The Pilgrim does not hesitate.

He turns, sets his course, and marches toward destiny.
