More about In the Beginning - Genesis Chapter 1 Poem

In ancient days, when time was young,
A world was formed, a tale begun,
In Genesis, the holy book,
The story of creation, took.
On the first day, with mighty hand,
God spoke the word, and light was planned,
He made the day, He made the night,
And separated dark from bright.
On day two, with art divine,
The sky was stretched, a grand design,
He made the clouds, He made the air,
And set a boundary, high and fair.
On day three, the earth arose,
With plants and trees, in vibrant rows,
He made the grass, He made the flowers,
And filled the land with fragrant powers.
On day four, the stars were formed,
The moon and sun, a scene transformed,
He set them in the sky above,
To shine upon the world with love.
On day five, the seas were teeming,
With life abound, a sight worth dreaming,
He made the fish, He made the birds,
And filled the waters with His words.
On day six, the land was blessed,
With animals of every kind, the best,
He made the beasts, He made mankind,
And in His image, He designed.
On the seventh day, He rested true,
His work complete, His vision through,
He looked upon His world so bright,
And saw that it was pure and right.
In Genesis, the story's told,
Of how the world was formed of old,
A tale of wonder, power, and grace,
A testament to God's embrace.
So let us cherish, and give praise,
To the Creator of all our days,
For in the beginning, He made it all,
And on His wisdom, we stand tall.
