A large painting, in the style of abstract Cubism, is a rectangular piece in landscape orientation that depicts a variety of abstract shapes, with the letters "H" and "I" prominently displayed in the upper middle of the composition. The colors include black, various shades of brown and beige, white, light blue, dark blue, dark green, light pink, and orange. The shapes are a mix of geometric and organic, with sharp angles, soft curves, and some resembling architectural forms. On the right side, there's a white rectangular shape with two black circles stacked vertically, and a black rectangle to its left, reminiscent of windows or abstract clock faces. Throughout the artwork, dark, bold lines create intricate patterns and define many of the shapes, sometimes forming swirls or arcs that cut across the canvas. A notable feature is a series of interconnected, ribbon-like forms in shades of brown, black, and light blue that weave through the center and extend towards the edges. Note: Actually the letters in the original are the Cyrillic (Russian) letter which would read, in Roman letters, NIT YA, which means "thread I". It seems, in other words, to be nonsense, perhaps intending the letters to be only compositional. The original is by Marinetti, who was generally thought to be a futurist painter. He was a fascist in the Italian sense of the term and that may explain why he is less highly regarded than might otherwise be the case. It is an odd fact that Italian fascists had great taste in art while German fascist were dedicated to Roman Revival like the people who built Washington. The Roman roots or German culture can be illustrated by looking up Corvus Corax in Youtube. They sing in Latin and on at least one occasion made their entrance to a concert by coming in on a Roman chariot pulled by a team of four white horses. Then thing got very strange, but you can look it up if you are interested.
